As of today, October 3, total donations made towards the Leadership Redondo 9-11 Tribute project total $3532. This total includes monies collected at the 2007 Redondo Beach State of the City event, the 12th Annual Original Lobster Festival, and various donations made by community members.
Sammy's Woodfired Pizza's Month of Sundaes fundraiser continues until October 10. Half of the proceeds from All Messy Sundaes, Sammy's signature dessert, purchased between September 11 and October 10, will be donated towards the 9-11 Tribute project.
The Leadership Redondo Beach Class of 2007 is looking for additional businesses to hold fundraisers similar to Sammy's to help fund their project.
